Information Literacy Toolkit

The Information Literacy Toolkit is a collection of resources that faculty and instructors can use to help plan or implement assignments in classes. These resources can help you scaffold research skills into your classes.

Assignment Description

This in-class exercise asks groups of students to analyze sources to determine aspects such as authority, audience and purpose.  Based on the analysis, students are then asked to identify source types and evaluate the sources.  The activity can be used to compare any types of sources, and modified to work with any topic/discipline.
