QUICK TIPS on

FINDING INTERNET SOURCES

For your upcoming assignment, Mr. Pittman is allowing students to use internet sources that end with .edu, .org, .net., or .gov.

Here is quick way to search for your sources using the above domain names.

Go to Google

Enter your subject’s name in Google’s search box.

After you enter your subject’s name type the following words behind the name site:.edu and hit enter.

Make sure you have a colon behind the word site and a period before the edu (or before whichever domain name you will be using).

Now Google will only show you websites pertaining to your subject ending in .edu. You can do the same for the other domain names: .org, .net., or. gov. see my examples below:

Marco Polo site:.edu

Marco Polo site:.gov

Marco Polo site:.org

If you have any questions, I will be in my WebEx room today from 2-3p.m. Also, you can stop by the library. We are open til 9 p.m.
