Digital Library Scavenger Hunt

This is a Scavenger Hunt students can do to discover digital resources available through the MGCCC Library website! It is a great way to become familiar with library databases and basic research for assignments.

  1. Watch the following video. Go to the library website, then find and list two ways to contact librarians.

  1. Find and list the Harrison County campus library hours.
  2. Watch the following video. Then list your major and two databases that will be helpful for research in your field of study (ex. Criminal Justice major, search under Criminal Justice and Law databases).

  1. Locate the Student Laptop Application on the Library website and provide the link below.
  2. Find an eBook that would help someone researching Climate Change. Provide the title and author below. Hint: select the eBook Central link in the Find Books section.
  3. Find a video that would help someone researching Shakespeare. Provide the citation information provided under the video (click the Cite link). Hint: select the Films on Demand database found in the Find Video section.
  4. Watch the following video. Using the Search Everything bar, find an article published in the last 5 years for someone researching Nursing. Then provide the citation information for the article below. Hint: click on the article and select the Cite feature under Tools on the right side of the screen.
